Rules of the Revolution

NO VIOLENCE toward any extra-terrestrials, exo-terrestrials, or Humans, animals, etc. This is a non-violent resistance. Any posts made on web forum established for The Exodus that endorses anything of a violent nature WILL BE DELETED. Violence will only cause more violence. If you are abducted, you may put up physical resistance of a non-violent nature. DO NOT do anything that may cause any harm to an abductor. Not only is it unethical, it won't work. Trust me. When dealing with situations where you feel threatened, you may defend yourself if necessary, but don't provoke any physical altercation of any kind. This is for political reasons. We CANNOT be seen as a violent movement or a social danger.

Being a part of this movement requires you to be active in some way. The first step is subscribing to and being active on The Exodus forum which is our rally point for the time being. Communication is key. If you have any good ideas, information, resources, or connections that may be beneficial to this movement, please share them. The second step is getting the word out about our movement. If you are a member of any online groups, support groups, or know anyone who may be interested in joining this movement, let them know and let them choose whether or not they wish to join. Do not pressure them into it in any way!

This revolution, at this time, has no monetary funding. If anything that you do for the movement requires money, you will have to fund it yourself. If an Exodus member comes to you claiming to be collecting money for The Exodus fund pool, report them immediately. There is no fund pool. (If a fund pool is created in the future, this portion of the rules will be amended accordingly.) However, if you do need money for some endeavor and another Exodus member would be willing to help you out on a one-on-one basis, this is permitted since you both are free people and this action is well within your rights. However, The Exodus cannot be held responsible for any conflict that arises from such a transaction.

It is strongly recommend that you abstain from any and all unlawful activity. This is both to uphold the good reputation of The Exodus and to protect the liability of Exodus members in the instance of any governmental authority choosing to arrest an Exodus member for being an Exodus member using auxiliary charges (charges unrelated to involvement with The Exodus.) The Exodus does not endorse or approve of any unlawful activity unless said unlawful activity contradicts a law that is classified or unavailable to public knowledge or if said law is violated for the purposes of Civil Disobedience using pacifistic methods that are endorsed by The Exodus.

When using the message-board, do not redistribute the posts of Exodus members without their express permission. If posts are redistributed, do not alter the ideas, content, or wording in any way. The posts are intellectual property of The Exodus member who has posted them and any alteration or distribution done (with the exception of quoting the posts or portions of the posts within a thread) without the express permission of The Exodus member who has posted them will be considered to be copyright infringement. When giving permission to distribute or alter posts, the terms and parameters must be put in writing and posted on The Exodus forum for reference in case any conflict arises. The Manifesto, as it appears on this web-site may be distributed. Do not alter or change it in any way. If you wish to make additions, do so in parenthesis between each paragraph or below the Manifesto stating what you wish to say about the Manifesto and state above the Manifesto that your additions are in parenthesis. Before posting the Manifesto with these alterations, forward a copy of it for my approval (and state where you wish to post the altered Manifesto and why) to the following e-mail address: TheExodus@closely-encountered.com. I reserve the exclusive right to approve or deny the distribution of an altered version of the Manifesto for any reason since the Manifesto is my intellectual property. The Manifesto in it's current, unaltered state may be distributed at your discretion.

Do not harass any fellow Exodus members in any way and for any reason.

All members are required to read the Manifesto, these rules, and are recommended to read all links that are posted on the links page of this site. You are also recommended to subscribe to The Exodus forum and be active there. There is a screening process involved. This is to eliminate trolls. Instructions on how to join are available by clicking the "Forum" link on the menu. All notifications concerning The Exodus will be made on The Exodus forum and the more significant notifications will be posted on this web-site as well.

Your activity with The Exodus is on a strictly voluntary basis and how you choose to be active is entirely up to you. This is a Do-It-Yourself revolution.

These rules, the Manifesto, and any and all content on this page is subject to change by me. Notification of significant changes and updates will be posted on The Exodus Forum.
